Curtis Bennett Ross has dedicated more than 20 years of his career to divorce and family law, helping clients meet their goals and objectives with integrity and respect.
Mr. Ross received his law degree from the University of Illinois in Urbana in 1980. He also holds a B.S. in Accountancy from the University of Illinois and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Before entering private practice in 1984, Mr. Ross worked as a tax staff member at Arthur Anderson & Co. from 1980 to 1982, and as a civil litigator for Jerome H. Torshen Ltd. in 1983. He has also taught courses at the University Of Illinois, Urbana, educating students on Basic Federal Income Taxation in the Fall of 1979 and Basic Financial Accounting in the Spring of 1980.
Mr. Ross is admitted to practice in all of the Illinois State Courts. He has also been certified as a Child’s Representative in the Cook County Courts and as a Family Court Facilitator who assists couples who are appearing pro se with procedural matters.
An active member of the legal community, Mr. Ross serves on the Family Law Section Council of the Illinois State Bar Association and is a member of three subcommittees of the Family Law Section. He is also a member of the American Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association and the Decalogue Society of Lawyers.
